After the Nap

In this work, a photosensitive cyanotype solution is applied to the cat's body, transforming the body itself into a light-sensitive medium. Walking, resting, and lingering become cyanotype imprints, while the image emerges gradually through the convergence of body, light, and time, rather than being authored by me alone.

The enclosed space where the cat spends its everyday life is enveloped by cyanotypes that hold the traces of its body, while mirrored fragments embedded in the walls reflect exterior light and landscape back into the interior. Like a camera obscura, the seemingly sealed space remains in continuous transformation, shaped by the shifting conditions of natural light.

Here, the body is no longer an object that leaves a trace, but a medium through which images come into being. After the light has passed, and after the body has gone, only a cyanotype quietly remains.
