母は毎日猫にシャワーをかけて、しっかりと水分をとり、ドライヤーで乾かし、美味しい料理を作り、話しかけ、一緒にソファに座ってテレビを見たり、散歩に出かけたりしている。

 

すべて、私が子供の頃に母がやってくれたことと同じである。

家の椅子は誰のために設置するのか？

猫が座るのか？

私が帰るのを待っているのか？

ただの椅子の問題ではなく、

Every day, my mother showers the cat, making sure it's well-hydrated, blow-dries it, cooks delicious meals, talks to it, sits with it on the sofa to watch TV, and even takes it for walks.

All of this is exactly what my mother used to do for me when I was a child.

Whom is the chair in our home intended for?

Is it set out for the cat to sit upon,

or is it there in anticipation of my return?

This transcends the mere matter of a chair.

It has taken my place, but what would the world look like through the cat's eyes?
